Livestock Traineeship:

Duration: 1,5 year

  • Types of farms: Dairy, Piggery, Poultry
  • Health insurance: Free Danish healthcare
  • Working hours weekly: 37h
  • Overtime work: yes, with pay
  • Accommodation on the farm

 

Allowance:

  • First 6 months: ∼€ 1,550 / month (before taxes)
  • Next 6-12 months: if <25 years: ∼€ 1,800 / month – if 25+ years: ∼2,080 month (before taxes)
  • Overtime pay is covered in the traineeship contract

Requirements for applicants

  • Students currently enrolled in their higher education (college or university)
  • Eligible majors: Animal Science, General livestock, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary, Zoo technology and other related majors
  • International Passport
  • Age between 18-29 years old
  • English test passed (IELTS 3.0 / KET A2/ TOEFL)
  • Driving license is an advantage

  • Embassy fee ∼€230
  • English test ∼€100-250
  • Plane ticket to & from Denmark
  • Accommodation: ∼€250- €300 / month

  • International Passport
  • Relevant 1 year work experience at the animal farm in Europe with recommendations
  • Driving license is an advantage
  • Minimum B1 level of English
